Right-hander Casey Mize — the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 draft — started and couldn't make it through three innings. He allowed six earned runs on four hits and three walks, with three strikeouts. He got 11 swings-and-misses and reached 96.6 mph with his fastball. Reliever Buck Farmer was solid in his inning and continues to vie for a leverage role in the bullpen.
