Jeimer Candelario has been optioned to Toledo. Needs to find himself Gardy said
The Detroit Tigers decided to send third baseman Jeimer Candelario down to Triple-A Toledo following Wednesday night’s loss to Houston. The loss marked a sweep for the Astros over the Tigers in a three-game series where pretty much nothing went right for Detroit.
As Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reported on Twitter after Wednesday’s loss, Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire claimed the move was being made because Candelario needs time to “find himself.”
Candelario has played in 37 games for Detroit this year and is currently hitting .
