A Tim Anderson walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning sealed Chicago’s comeback victory over the Detroit Tigers, but even in suffering a tough loss there was still plenty to like about the Tigers’ performance on Friday night. One bright spot, in particular, was the performance of Miguel Cabrera, who has been producing very well at the plate all season long even if his trademark power is fading away.
Cabrera was absolutely on fire on Friday night and played a major role in what was the best offensive performance put on by a Tigers team that has fallen flat at the plate for much of the year.
