Nick Quintana had no idea the Detroit Tigers were interested in him.
He had no contact with them leading up to the MLB Draft.
“Right before the pick, my agent called me and gave me info about the Tigers,” Quintana, the Tigers second-round pick, said. “He said, ‘This isn’t a guarantee, but the Tigers could possibly take you with the next pick.
