Miguel Cabrera was sitting in the Tigers dugout on Friday afternoon talking about Game 1 of the NBA Finals when manager Ron Gardenhire approached him with good news.
“You’re hitting third,” Gardenhire said.
Cabrera, who has been eager to return to the Tigers' lineup, smiled.
Then, Gardenhire told Jeimer Candelario he was hitting first. And, for good measure, that Candelario was going to get on base and Cabrera was going to drive him in.
