The Detroit Tigers appear to have made their first move of the offseason, in acquiring right-handed rookie pitch Dario Agrazal from the Pittsburgh Pirates for cash considerations, according to Anthony Fenech.
Agrazal, a 24-year-old starting pitcher from Aguadulce, Panama, appeared in 15 games for the Pirates last season — 14 as a starter — and posted a 4.69 ERA, 5.90 FIP, and a 1.364 WHIP.
He is primarily a low-90s sinker pitcher, favoring the pitch at least 50% of the time in his debut season, with a much lighter mix of a low-90s fastball, a mid-80s changeup, and a low-80s slider.
