1. Tyler Alexander has earned the right to get a chance to start.
Alexander has been lights out this year, working out of the bullpen. He tied an American League record with nine straight strikeouts on Sunday.
“He just knows how to pitch and he's making a statement he wants to pitch more and he wants to start and that's how you get into the plans is doing things like,” Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire said. “We know he can start.
