SAN DIEGO – These are desperate times for the Detroit Tigers, and it was reflected in Sunday’s lineup.
Manager Brad Ausmus said this morning he decided after the team’s eighth straight loss Saturday night he would tinker with the batting order and told Miguel Cabrera he would be batting second behind Ian Kinsler.
Ausmus then put Justin Upton third and J.D. Martinez fourth.
“See what happens,” Ausmus said. “Not winning the other way. So, mix it up a little bit.”
