Daniel Norris looked impressive in Detroit Tigers' rain-cancelled game vs. Blue Jays

AT TD BALLPARK, DUNEDIN, FLORIDA

The Detroit Tigers held a 3-1 lead over the Toronto Blue Jays when it was cancelled in the middle of the fourth inning because of rain.

What happened

This game was a race against a nasty, fast-approaching storm. The pregame weather report was ominous. The radar looked even worse, full of bright pretty colors – so the Tigers did not bring pitcher Tarik Skubal, who stayed in Lakeland to throw a bullpen session. Daniel Norris made his first start of the spring and cruised through the first inning on nine pitches.
