KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Could Matt Harvey’s next destination be Detroit?
After the Mets designated the former All-Star for assignment on Friday afternoon following Harvey’s refusal to accept a demotion to the minor leagues, the baseball world buzzed with where he might end up.
But based on Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire’s comments, it likely will not be Detroit.
Asked if Harvey’s designation intrigued him, Gardenhire asked, “How much money is he making?
