Christin Stewart's power show leads Detroit Tigers to 11-8 win

Christin Stewart has officially arrived.

The Detroit Tigers’ top power-hitting prospect hit two home runs in the team’s 11-8 win over the Kansas City Royals on Thursday night at Comerica Park.

Stewart’s first home run barely cleared the right field wall, but his second was a 403-foot shot, also to right field.

His first home run keyed an early offensive eruption by the Tigers, who scored nine runs over the first two innings. Nicholas Castellanos followed Stewart’s home run by going back-to-back.

Matthew Boyd was removed from the game early, allowing allowed hard contact in 1u2153 innings, his shortest outing this season.
