Christin Stewart, Joe Jimenez named as Tigers’ top prospects

Two Tigers prospects had outstanding seasons.

And earlier this week, outfielder Christin Stewart and relief pitcher Joe Jimenez were awarded for those seasons, being named Tigers prospects of the year, according to MLBPipeline.com.

Stewart is playing in the Arizona Fall League. He hit .255 between Class A Lakeland and Double-A Erie this season with 30 home runs and 87 RBIs. With the Flying Tigers, he hit 24 home runs, leading the Florida State League.

It was Stewart’s first full pro season after the Tigers drafted him out of Tennessee in the first round in 2015.
