Cheap centerfield free agents are still out there for Detroit Tigers

The Detroit Tigers have a hole in centerfield.

As the roster currently stands, it will be patched up by any combination of Tyler Collins, JaCoby Jones, Anthony Gose and Andrew Romine, in any order. None of those players profile as an everyday option this season.

Which is why the team is still seeking a veteran stop-gap in centerfield. According to multiple people with knowledge of the situation, the Tigers are open to adding that player in free agency. Ideally, the team is said to be looking for low-cost options, perhaps in the $2 million range.
