Ausmus happy with what he saw from his third baseman in his first turn in the outfield this season Friday in Toronto
TORONTO – It was a grand start for Nick Castellanos.
“Excellent rightfielder when he hits grand slams,” Detroit Tigers manager Brad Ausmus joked of Castellanos.
Castellanos gave the Tigers a 4-0 lead in the third inning with his third career grand slam and 21st home run of the season.
The Tigers went on to beat the Blue Jays, 5-4, on Friday night at Rogers Centre.
