Casey Mize throws third straight scoreless start in SeaWolves victory

Tyler Alexander threw a really good game on Friday, but the Knights’ Justin Nicolino outdueled him with an eight-inning, one-hit performance to guide Charlotte to victory. Alexander allowed two runs over six innings of work with seven punchouts. Mikie Mahtook and Dustin Peterson had the only two hits for the Hens. Bryan Garcia’s return to Toledo didn’t go so well as he surrendered a pair of runs in his inning of relief work as Charlotte pulled away late in this one.

Alexander (L, 1-7): 6.0 IP, 2 ER, 5 H, BB, 7 SO

Coming Up Next: The two clubs get back at it with a 7:05pm ET Saturday start time.
