Detroit -- Tigers owner Mike Ilitch was at the ballpark Sunday to check in on his new-look team.
And Ilitch was treated to the same old song and dance, namely the latest bullpen meltdown.
Ian Krol was rocked for four runs and Tom Gorzelanny's return to the major leagues was greeted with a long home run as the Red Sox eventually thumped the Tigers, 7-2, before 38,766 mostly ticked-off Comerica Park customers.
Krol was mercilessly booed off the mound in the eighth inning, after turning a tight game into a rout. After loading the bases with two outs, he allowed a bases-clearing triple to Jackie Bradley Jr.
