Bauer, Indians dominate sinking Tigers again

Cleveland — The Indians are officially rolling.

The defending Central Division champs made it six in a row Saturday night, beating the Tigers, 4-1, at Progressive Field. It was the fourth time this season Indians starting pitcher Trevor Bauer has slayed the Tigers.

He had allowed three runs with 29 strikeouts in 23 innings in the first three wins. He was good in those. He was oppressive in this one. With a six-pitch arsenal, including a mid-90s four-seam fastball and a devastating knuckle-curveball, he struck out 11 over 6.1 innings.

The curveball was breaking from hitters’ eyes to their knees.
