With the New York Mets' season in a tailspin, there was increasing talk of Tim Tebow jumping to the majors when rosters expanded to the final month.
After all, Tebow was hitting .273 for Double-A Binghamton and was named an Eastern League All-Star.
But the former Heisman Trophy winner suffered a bad break last week.
