Toledo erupted for a six-run second inning and poured it on late to smother a Stripers charge. Drew VerHagen allowed a pair of runs while punching out nine in just four innings of work. Meanwhile, the Hens offense was pounding out 15 hits to rout the Stripers. Ronny Rodriguez had a triple as part of a three-hit night to lead the way. Kurt Spomer provide a strong three innings of relief while Zac Reininger blew up late to make it look a little closer than it really was.
