Alex Faedo was hit around a bit, and the SeaWolves’ offense misfired on Monday night. Faedo struck out eight in just five innings of work, but gave up a parade of hits in a rough three-run third inning which doomed his outing. The whiffs were there, and Faedo was doing a solid, if still inconsistent, job implenting his higher release point and the fastball was effective particularly when he kept it down. But in the third the Curve just squared him up a few too many times as he struggled to locate.
