Somewhere, probably boxed up in Kirk Gibson’s basement, there is a VHS tape of Al Kaline dancing.
It is from 1985, at the Detroit Yacht Club, during his wedding — a dual affair with Detroit Tigers teammate Dave Rozema, who married sisters in a ceremony “that may never be matched in the annals of baseball,” the Chicago Tribune wrote at the time.
“You should see him dancing out there,” Gibson said Wednesday.
