After a short-by-his-standards introduction this afternoon -- talking about how the Detroit Tigers fell short of their goal this past season and how they had a good season but not good enough, and how he wasn’t happy about missing the postseason -- second-year general manager Al Avila said this: “Changes are coming."
“Saying that," he continued, "I think we’re ready for any questions that you might have to ask.”
Forty-eight minutes later, the answer to how next season’s Tigers will look seemed cloudier than ever.
“The way we’re approaching this off-season, it’s not going to really be an exact science,” Avila said.
