Tigers Rumors: Yoenis Cespedes trade likely means departures of Andy Dirks, Don Kelly

The Detroit Tigers' acquisition of outfielder Yoenis Cespedes from the Boston Red Sox likely means the end of the line for two other Tigers outfielders in Motown.

According to Chris Iott of MLive.com, the Cespedes trade "very likely ends the chances that either Andy Dirks or Don Kelly will return to the Detroit Tigers."

With Cespedes now on the roster, the Tigers appear to have four of their five outfield spots spoken for on the 2015 Opening Day roster. J.D. Martinez, Rajai Davis and Anthony Gose are all but assured to join Cespedes in the team's outfield rotation.

That leaves just one spot which will likely go to the winner of a Tyler Collins/Carlos Moya spring training competition. At this juncture, it appears that Collins has the early edge, with Moya likely to start the 2015 season at Triple-A Toledo in order to continue to hone his craft.
