And Now for Something Completely Different: Bao Taoshi

Tell me you wouldn't pay to watch or participate in this sport?  Tell me, if you were IOC chairman you wouldn't put this sport in the Olympics.

What you're watching is called Bao Taoshi, which loosely translated means, 150 poorly-dressed-for-sport Japanese men using each other as trampolines in an attempt to topple the opposing teams pole, roughly.  It looks as if the object of the game is to knock that clown on top off of the top as fast as possible and get the pole to the ground.  In my mind, the object of this game is to beat as much ass as is Japanesely possible while someone else worries about that pole.  While you're trying to do bodily harm and topple your opponents pole the rest of their team is attempting to the the same to your pole at the other end of the field.  As with most Japanese game shows, the winner is lauded with gifts of gold and crowned with olive wreaths while the loser is stoned to death by a studio audience while a laugh-track plays.

As this is a sporting site and the Tigers are down 7-1 and making me angry, I figured we'd lighten this up a bit.
