“Greenie since about the All-Star break has been fatigued,” Blashill said. “He really tried to play through it. When you’re missing Mike Green, you’re missing a guy who has been one of our top defensemen most of the year.
“When Larks is out, it’s a significant loss. Now, I think it’s a heck of an opportunity for a whole bunch of guys. Larks eats up lots of minutes, and he’s earned that ice time. But there’s other guys in this room that want more ice time, so this is a great opportunity for them to show that with more ice time, they can help us win a hockey game, or multiple games.
