Detroit — The story of the Red Wings’ season? A microcosm?
Sunday’s game sure could be, something that’s happened so often this season.
Not so much the fact the Red Wings lost 4-1 to the impressive New York Rangers, although the losses have been frequent this season.
But the fact it came just about 48 hours after the Red Wings looked so good in defeating another Stanley Cup contender, Chicago, and looked very capable of extending that quality hockey against the Rangers.
But, as has so often been the case, the Red Wings just haven’t been capable of generating much positive traction.
