Wings Refuse To Be Pushed Around

from Ansar Khan of Mlive,

The Detroit Red Wings’ first two games have been chippy, with players getting in each other’s faces and roughing it up, scrums after the whistle, and just a whole lot of volatility.

The message they’re sending is they’re not going to stand by idly or turn the other cheek if they feel they are being abused physically.

“We got each other’s backs,” Filip Zadina said. “That’s the most important thing on the ice. We’re showing them we’re a team.”

Zadina was shaken up but escaped serious injury Saturday on a hit to the head from Conor Garland during the third period of the Red Wings’ 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks at Little Caesars Arena.
