Detroit – The Red Wings are going to get a look at their top prospect.
The team recalled forward Evgeny Svechnikov Monday and he’ll be in the lineup for the game against Ottawa tonight (7 p.m., FSD/97.1).
Svechnikov, 20, was the team’s 2015 first-round selection and has played in 68 games in Grand Rapids this season with 18 goals, 26 assists (44 points) and 56 penalty minutes.
After a slow start this season, Svechnikov (6-foot-3, 205 pounds) has been on an offensive tear lately.
In his last 30 games, Svechnikov has 26 points (eight goals, 18 assists), including a Griffins team-best 12-game point streak from Jan.
