And, as usual, Bertuzzi is producing ahead of his usual regular season rate.
Beginning his third playoff spring with the American League’s Grand Rapids Griffins, Bertuzzi has a team-leading six points (two goals, four assists) in the season’s opening four playoff games including two assists in Wednesday’s Game 1 4-1 victory over Chicago.
“It’s a simple game in the playoffs, this time of year,” said Bertuzzi, a 2013 2nd-round draft pick. “A lot of it is going to the corners, around the net, not the real pretty goals.
