— Niklas Kronwall isn’t thinking about retirement.
Kronwall has lingering issues with his knee that aren’t going away, isn’t going to get significantly better, and forces him to deal with pain most of the time.
But despite all that, Kronwall isn’t thinking of ending his hockey career.
“I’d like to think there’s a lot more (hockey), actually,” said Kronwall, 36, who talked with reporters Tuesday as the Red Wings cleaned out their lockers and went their separate ways for the 2016-17 season. “I feel better than I did 12 months ago, so that’s something positive.”
Kronwall has a contract that runs until the end of the 2018-19 season, and although Kronwall’s salary cap hit is $4.
