As part of the Farewell to The Joe festivities, the Red Wings will allow fans to paint personal messages on the ice at Joe Louis Arena on Wednesday, May 10.
Money raised will benefit the Detroit Red Wings Foundation.
The event will take place 3-8 p.m. Time slots are limited to 150 participants every half hour.
Paint and paintbrushes will be provided.
Donations asked are: $20 for those age 11 and older; $10 for those 10 and under while those 2 and under are free.
People are asked to wear clothing and shoes suitable for the event.
