Who will the Vegas Golden Knights poach from the Detroit Red Wings' roster?
A half-dozen different players were projected to be selected by various news outlets in the mock drafts we found. The two most popular names were defenseman Xavier Ouellet and goaltender Petr Mrazek.
Vegas will select 30 players, one from each club, a minimum of 14 forwards, nine defensemen and three goalies. It must take at least 20 players under contract for 2017-18. It must select players whose cap hits total at least 60 percent of last season's cap ($73 million), so $43.8 million.
The Golden Knights are believed to have several deals in place with clubs to sway them from taking a particular player, but Red Wings general manager Ken Holland said he has no such agreement.
