The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the Red Wings are one of eight teams in talks with Daley.
This would be a great signing for the Red Wings if they can sign Daley to a deal. He has won back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Pittsburgh Penguins after leaving the Chicago Blackhawks. Previously, he had spent over 10 seasons with the Dallas Stars.
Daley had 19 points in 56 appearances during the regular season for the Penguins. In the postseason, he produced five points in 21 games played. His best season offensively was in the 2013-14 season when he had 38 points in 67 games.
