He has shown tremendous improvement over the past year, partly as a result of how dedicated he has been in the gym the last two summers. He’s a smooth skater, and a heads-y playmaker with a knack for getting his shot through to the net from the point — something the Wings need. He’s a heads-up player who can put a lot of heat on his shot but he’s also smart enough to know when a pass is a better option.
