Two days from their scheduled arbitration hearing, forward Tomas Tatar and the Detroit Red Wings are about $1.2 million apart.
Elliotte Friedman of SportsNet in Canada, and also an insider for NHL Network, said that the club offer is $4.1 million and Tatar's camp is asking for $5.3 million.

The arbitration hearing is set for Thursday in Toronto.
Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reported that the sides received copies of each other's briefs on Tuesday.
