Steve Yzerman was introduced as the Detroit Red Wings' 11th general manager on Friday at Little Caesars Arena.
This is his entire opening statement:
"Thank you.
"I really appreciate you all turning out this afternoon for our press conference here. I would like to start by saying I’m extremely excited to be back in Detroit with the Red Wings. This city, Red Wing fans, the state of Michigan, were extremely supportive of me throughout the ups and down of my playing career.
