Two defensemen with local ties are part of the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame class of 2015 announced today. Angela Ruggiero, who grew up in Harper Woods, and former Detroit Red Wing Mathieu Schneider are part of the four-member induction class.
Chris Drury and Ron DeGregorio are the others who will be inducted Dec. 17 in Boston.
Ruggiero was a four-time Olympic medalist for Team USA and, in June, was announced as part of the Hockey Hall of Fame's 2015 induction class. She's the fourth woman to be inducted into that Hall of Fame.
Ruggiero helped the U.
