DETROIT, Mich — The Red Wings have inked defenseman Jared McIsaac to his three-year entry-level contract, the team announced Friday.
The 2018 2nd round selection will return to his junior team this upcoming season — he put together an impressive outing in the 2017-2018 season with 47 points (9-38—47) in 65 games. The highly-regarded prospect is touted for his well-rounded game. Many had him slated as a player that could have been taken earlier in the draft.
An offensive blueliner, he is a smooth skater with great mobility. He skates backward very well and also pivots nicely to aid his transition either offensively or defensively.
