Detroit Red Wings forward Darren Helm suffered a significant upper-body injury in Saturday's 3-2 overtime victory over the New Jersey Devils and will sidelined for a while, it appears.
Coach Jeff Blashill told media at the Prudential Center that Helm will "be out for some time." He said a more precise time frame hasn't been determined. They'll know more on Monday.
Helm appeared to injure his right wrist or arm after being checked by Travis Zajac and landing awkwardly into the boards in the first period.
