The Detroit Red Wings used one of their four third-round picks at June’s draft on forward Lane Zablocki, an 18-year old right wing with 17 points in 18 Western Hockey League playoff games. Zablocki didn’t attend the draft but was part of the group that gathered early this month in Traverse City for development camp, where he hit the ice for one of the first times since fracturing a foot when he rolled an ankle six weeks ago.
