DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings have more roster decisions than they have had in recent years. They are tougher decisions, and that's a good thing.
"I think guys did a good job of making those decisions tough," coach Jeff Blashill said following Saturday's 5-1 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs at Little Caesars Arena in the preseason finale.
The Red Wings must submit their 23-man roster by 5 p.m. Tuesday. Injuries to defensemen Mike Green, Trevor Daley and Jonathan Ericsson will result in some players sticking around a little longer.
Blashill also stressed it's a fluid situation.
