Red Wings, Dylan Larkin look to extend streak vs. Oilers, Connor McDavid

DETROIT - Dylan Larkin, as the Detroit Red Wings' first-line center this season, has spent more time defending top lines. Tonight, he'll be matched up against one of the best in Connor McDavid.

The Red Wings (4-7-2) will be seeking their fourth consecutive victory when they face the Edmonton Oilers (7-4-1) at Little Caesars Arena (7 p.m., Fox Sports Detroit).

Larkin has stepped up his play during this run with seven points (two goals, five assists) and leads the team with six goals and 14 points.

"I think he's starting to take his game to another level and it's great to see, because, he's got a great future ahead of him," teammate Justin Abdelkader said.
