Detroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin extended his point streak to five games as he scored his first goal at the World Championship.
The U.S. twice overcame two-goal deficits in rallying to a 5-3 victory over Latvia in preliminary round Group A action Saturday in Cologne, Germany. Larkin leads USA with eight points and is the lone U.S. player to record a point in each of USA’s games. He led all USA skaters Saturday with 21:07 minutes of playing time.
Latvia beat goaltender Connor Hellebuyck midway through the first period and early in the second period to take a 2-0 lead.
