Red Wings' Dylan Larkin is top USA scorer at World Championship

Detroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin extended his point streak to five games as he scored his first goal at the World Championship.

The U.S. twice overcame two-goal deficits in rallying to a 5-3 victory over Latvia in preliminary round Group A action Saturday in Cologne, Germany. Larkin leads USA with eight points and is the lone U.S. player to record a point in each of USA’s games. He led all USA skaters Saturday with 21:07 minutes of playing time.

Latvia beat goaltender Connor Hellebuyck midway through the first period and early in the second period to take a 2-0 lead.
