For Detroit Red Wings defenseman Danny DeKeyser, that moment was this summer, when he got fed up with what many a girl knows: Long hair can be uncomfortable when the temperature rises.
"It was getting hot out at the time," DeKeyser said today, after helping out on the last day of a youth hockey camp at Joe Louis Arena. "I had long hair. When you're swimming and stuff in the summer, it gets in the way a lot.
