OTTAWA -- Nick Jensen is building a good case for job security.
His speed and ability to make plays has seen him become the second-most productive defenseman on the Detroit Red Wings. Entering tonight's game against the Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Centre, Jensen was coming off back-to-back two-point performances. For a team sparse on points from their back end, Jensen’s growth since coming up from the minors in December is encouraging, as blue-line offense otherwise mostly has come from Mike Green.
“It’s too hard a league to score in to just rely on your forwards,” coach Jeff Blashill said.
