After a stretch of terrible hockey, the Red Wings looked rejuvenated by some big line shakeups, including Filip Zadina to the top line and Evgeny Svechnikov back to the lineup.

The Wings came out with a chip on their shoulder, dominating nearly every facet of play. In their best first period of the season, Detroit outshot Columbus 15-6, with the new top line of Filip Zadina-Dylan Larkin-Ryan Fabbri leading the charge.
