TRAVERSE CITY - The Detroit Red Wings used their annual development camp this year to do more than just educate the prospects on what it takes to be a pro hockey player.
They also tried to build relationships between the players since many will likely be future teammates in Grand Rapids or Detroit.
For the first time, the Red Wings created a gathering area at the team hotel.
