One week after the Islanders torched the Red Wings with three unanswered goals at Little Caesars Arena, a spirited(?) Saturday showdown turned ugly when officiating tipped on the Island. The Red Wings, coming off a loss to the Senators, were throttled in their return to the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
Justin Abdelkader has been noticeably awful as of late, and I say this knowing that he’s not a great player to begin with. He’s had a lot of lazy, and overall not-smart plays lately. He’s due to have a good game, but the first line experiment for him should be put to an end.
