This was the word that dripped off the walls and bounced off the hallways and hung in the air at Joe Louis Arena on Friday.
Hate. It was in the Red Wings’ locker room, too. No, it wasn’t directed at Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel for trying to hijack the Hockeytown name. Nice try, mayor. Adorable. But we here in the Windy City of Detroit don’t appreciate that level of disrespect.
