Jeff Blashill has a vision, and that vision is to possibly pair Danny DeKeyser with the newly acquired Trevor Daley. DeKeyser could very well benefit from playing alongside Daley, but it’s important to keep in mind that this defensive theory is contingent on Niklas Kronwall remaining healthy in 2017-18. I foresee much blue line juggling in Blashill’s future.
“I’ve talked about trying to find a partner for Danny,” Blashill said. “I thought towards the end of the year, Kronwall and Green played very well together, I liked the chemistry they had. So certainly we think Trevor is somebody who can play with Danny on that right side.
